The Bay House - Naples best kept secret.

Our friends have begged us not to blog about this restaurant, afraid that our best kept Naples secret will no longer afford residents the accessiblity of this well-established restaurant.  However, we enjoy sharing those places that bring us happiness and The Bay House is definetly one of them.  This waterfront dining restaurant overlooks Osprey Bay and the Cocohatchee Wildlife Preserve.  It isn’t open in the summer months so do committ yourself to a visit between October and May.  It offers a little something for everyone from outdoor dining, to a beautiful bar with a large stone fireplace with fireside dining, two-tiered dining overlooking the waterways and an enclosed deck that really makes you feel like you’re eating at treetop level.  For twilight diners, the owners have lit up the exterior so everyone can enjoy nature and the water no matter what time they chose to dine.  Seafood is their specialty but there is a wide selection of other beef entrees and more traditional fares as well.  I’ve had several of the fish selections and every single one has been memorable.  My husband, more of a red meat eater, really enjoyed his filet mignon, as did our dining guests who ordered the same entrees as we did.

Neopolitans know where to go for a great meal in a warm environment that will make you come back year after year.  The service is always “top shelf” and entrees simply speak for themselves.
