Naples Botanical Gardens

A 160-acre botanical showcase, where visitors can enjoy and become a part of nature, just 2 miles from downtown Naples, is just what Neopolitans have been asking for.  The plant world, full of drama and awe, awaits you throughout the garden.
Self-guided tours, using hand-held computers, are availalbe for a nominal fee at the Welcome Center.  At the Gardens, you will travel through the Pink Courtyard, where brightly colored flowers are beacons to wildlife in search of nectar.  You’ll experience the Fern Grotton, Date Palm Allee, Fruit and Spice Garden, Fragrance Garden, Windstar Garden Room, Pollination Pavilion, Tropical Oasis Garden that includes tropical plants that produce the natural materials found in many of our pharmaceuticals and the Florida Uplands Preserve that is a one-mile walk showcasing all types of indigious plants and wildlife.  For quiet reflection, meander into the Butterfly Habitat that is home to several wild partridges and ducks.  Adjacent to the butterfly garden is the big Day Gecko that has his own environment.  Connected to the gecko’s home are about a dozen Rainbow Lorikeets that are anything but quiet!  The kid in all of us will have fun with them, but be sure to duck because they’ll come flying at you!  You can easily spend a morning traveling through this wonderful Garden.
