The Naples City Council have taken their vote and selected Bill Moss as the new Naples city manager. Moss is currently the city manager of Marco Island and has held that position since 1997. The details are being worked out with his contract, but it is expected that he will take over the helm around the first of the year. Moss won selection from an initial group of 161 applicants from around the country.

The current city manager, Bob Lee, will become a graduate faculty member at the Askew School of Public Administration at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Lee was one of only two city and county managers statewide with a doctorate according to the Naples Daily News.
