Naples highlights for January

Here are some highlights and some news updates for Naples this January.

  • A trolley service is being studied to provide valet service to the downtown area. Traffic has always been a problem to this popular part of Naples. The proposed routes will take you along Fifth Ave to Tin City and Bayside. There is even talk about maybe extending the service to popular area hotels to encourage visitors and guest to visit our downtown area.
  • The 4th Annual SWFL Birding and Wildlife Festival will be held at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve fromm January 18th to the 20th. For more info, visit their website at www.rookerybay.org or call 239-417-6310.
  • A few of the top shows at the Philharmonic in January include Ben Taylor on the 4th and 5th, Branford Marsalis on the 6th, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on the 7th, Chris Botti on the 8th, Johnny Mathis on the 13th and the Joffrey Ballet on the 18th.
  • The Barbara B. Mann will be hosting Jungle Jack Hanna on the 11th, Neil Sedaka on the 14th and Willie Nelson will be here on the 16th.
