Tying up some loose ends here in Naples

A few things have crossed my desk that I thought I would pass on to you.
- Reverse mortgages are being coming more popular these days, but you really need to know the details before jumping in. You should investigate a couple of different sources, but Jane would be a good place to start.
- January home sales were up slightly compared to a year ago, including an 11 percent increase in condo sales, according to a report released by the Naples Area Board of Realtors, which tracks home listings and sales within Collier County, excluding Marco Island. Sales of homes less than $300,000 increase to 103 for the month compared with 81 in January 2007. Home sales in the $500,000 - $1 million category decreased to 50 in January compared with 60 for the same month last year.
- Bleu Provence, a French bistro in Old Naples, has received the Award of Ultimate Distinction from Wine Enthusiast Magazine in its annual restaurant awards for 2007. Winners are selected based on the overall wine program, not just the size of the restaurant’s wine list. Selection, service, individuality and value are all considered in the judging process.
