Forbes Magazine recently ranked Naples-Marco Island area as one of America’s 10 fastest growing small metropolitan areas. They said that the influx of wealthy new residents has helped stabilize the local economy. Personal income for area residents is expected to grow by 7.2% on average until 2012, the highest in the nation.
The final 5.2 mile stretch of Imperial Parkway in Bonita Springs recently opened for traffic. You can now go from Radio Road in Naples all the way to Alico Road in Lee County. This opens up a third north-south route and another easy way to get to the airport without getting bogged down on I-75.
Collier County Sheriff Lt. Scott Green, who is serving in Afghanistan, inspired the new program “Calling Home”. It helps the soldiers overseas to call home without a huge financial obligation.
