Heidi Schumann, Documentary Photographer, at the von Liebig
Yesterday, Ruth and I enjoyed a “Lunch with the Arts” program at the von Liebig Art Center in downtown Naples. It was a very nice affair with lunch and a guest speaker. This month it was documentary photographer Heidi Schumann. Heidi is an independent photojournalist and documentary photographer who has worked with The New York Times, New York Daily News, Time, Newsweek, Reuters, Associated Press, Boston Globe and other media clients. She talked about her work on gun violence in Central and South America and made herself available for an interview and questions from the audience. This is a very popular program put on by the Arts Center and should be everyone’s calendar. The next program is on December 11th from 12-2pm when travel educator Jeanne Oelerich talks about the “Terrific Treats and Treasures of Rome.”
