The von Liebig Art Center is a fantastic place to visit at 585 Park Street here in Naples. You’ll be glad you did.

September 30 to October 29The von Liebig Art Center Faculty Biennial. This group invitational exhibition highlights the work of The von Liebig Art Center’s faculty instructors and presents diverse approaches to photography, painting, pastel and mixed media. Biennial generously sponsored by Physicians Regional Medical Center.
September 30 to October 29Sharing Culture: Works from The von Liebig Art Center’s Collection. This exhibition features work from the Art Center’s Collection, which is focused on American art in all media created after 1950 and features work by artists who have had a connection to Florida.
October 2 – Session I Studio Art Classes for Adults begin. Most classes run three to six weeks. Traditional courses are offered, including oil/acrylic painting, wet clay modeling, photography, and mural painting. New courses offered include a five-day Italian Culture Week and four-day Art of Flower Arranging. Full schedule online at naplesart.org.
October 5 – Session I Studio Art Classes for Youth begin. Four six-week evening classes for students ages 10-17 are offered: oil painting, advanced drawing, photography, and introduction to theatre arts. 
October 16 (12 – 2 p.m.) – Lunch With the Arts. Janina Birtolo—a writer, producer and actress—will discuss her one-woman award-winning play, “Most Affectionate Daughter,” about Galileo’s child, Sister Maria Celeste. Lunch sponsored and provided by Bice Ristorante. Admission is free for Naples Art Association members and customers of series sponsor Comerica Wealth and Institutional Management (and Comerica Bank, who show proof of relationship), and $5 for others. Lunch is served on a first-come, first-served basis, while everyone is invited to stay for the lectures.

The Art Center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the exhibitions, library and gift shop is free. For more information, the public may call 239-262-6517 or visit http://naplesart.org
