Wind inspection may lower your home insurance
Did you know that Florida law Statute 627.0629 requires insurance companies to entitle homeowners to unprecedented savings on their wind insurance? We’ve heard from a lot of Realtors and friends who have drastically reduced their homeowner premiums by getting a wind inspection. Once you receive your report, then you must send the form into your insurance company. Most of the time the inspectors will refund their fee if you don’t receive a reduction. That’s what I call a win-win. I just received an email from a company in Boca Raton that is charging $249.99. This would probably still be a good deal if we didn’t have a local contact that is even better at $150 per inspection. He also guarantees to refund the fee if you don’t get a reduction, plus he’ll submit the paperwork to the insurance company for you. A win-win-win.
